Founded in 2023 from the University of Nottingham’s School of Medicine, Quantified Imaging (QI) aims to revolutionise dementia care by enabling clinicians to predict in advance which treatments will be most effective for individual patients. The company addresses a critical information gap in dementia care, a disease projected to affect one in three people by 2050.
Backed by 20 years of university research, QI is a world leader in harnessing MRI technology to improve the diagnosis and treatment of brain health conditions. Its minimum viable product is nearing FDA approval and has already been licensed for use in two clinical trials.
QI is currently validating its second product, designed specifically for dementia, through pilot studies with three US hospitals that are generating promising evidence. The company’s solution is significantly more cost-effective and scalable than the current gold standard while delivering comparable accuracy and avoiding the use of radioactive or toxic chemicals.
Having recently closed a seed funding round, QI is now working towards US regulatory approval for its dementia-focused product, with approval targeted for late 2026.
