Keep Energy Systems, founded in 2020 as a spin-out from the University of Nottingham’s Faculty of Engineering, develops energy storage solutions that provide commercial and industrial customers with the power resilience, capacity and cost-effectiveness needed in today’s changing world. Its technology harnesses compressed air energy storage combined with heat capture to deliver a robust and scalable solution for long-duration power needs. 

As electricity grids face the dual challenge of rising demand and integrating renewable energy without compromising reliability or affordability, Keep Energy Systems offers solutions that supply up to 20 hours of power on demand. This helps customers maximise the use of low-cost renewables alongside their existing grid connections. The systems are fire-safe, contribute real inertia to stabilise local power grids, and feature durable industrial equipment designed to withstand harsh environments and allow for local maintenance.
