FaHRAS was founded in 2006 as a spin-out from the University of Nottingham’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Established to manage breast cancer family history records, the company provides advanced, evidence-based software systems that enable users to handle family history assessments of any complexity and quantify patient risk.
With extensive experience supporting NHS providers, FaHRAS delivers solutions widely used across the healthcare system. Its software includes multiple risk models alongside administrative tools such as patient-led data entry, letter generation and audit functions.
The company has received backing from Health Innovation East Midlands, the Small Business Research Initiative, and was part of a collaboration shortlisted for the Health Service Journal Award for Primary and Community Care Innovation of the Year.
